The Gorgeous Grandma Awards Ceremony celebrating our residents at Heron Lodge turned into an amazing day as always.
Lovely food, fabulous entertainment from Graham singing in the garden which the residents really enjoyed at a social distance, and the staff all helped make the atmosphere special as they always do.
Lily, 101, dressed to impress after her hair and beauty session in the morning and looked like a very glamorous great great grandma.
The garden entertainment was enjoyed by many. We then retired to the lounge and rooms as the weather changed, where Home Manager Maebh McCormack presented the grandmas with their awards.
These ranged from Speedy Knitter to Most Enthusiastic Bingo Player, Best Tea Expert to International Starlet and Classical Music Connoisseur to Best Imagination, the 'Oscar' style awards and certificates were nominated by the staff who know the residents so well.
