Timperley Nursing Home residents warm to their visitors
Residents at #Timperley Nursing Home were delighted to receive gifts of leg warmers and blankets as the first real winter snow arrived.
Varicose Vein specialists Veincentre donated the gifts, with the help of social media influencer Alison Stankard, AKA Totes Inappropes, to celebrate the firm's 20th anniversary.
Veincentre CEO Maurice McLoughlin said: “The socks and blankets are absolutely terrific and I’m sure will be a super addition to Timperley Nursing Home residents. Keeping legs warm and healthy is so important so we thought this intiative would be a fitting way to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
“Twenty years ago we had just one clinic in Stoke on Trent and now we have 32 across the country with 53 consultants, 44 nurses and 102 business support staff. We’ve estimated that over the 20 years we’ve conducted over 50,000 procedures and helped thousands of people across the UK to no longer feel in pain or self-conscious due to varicose veins, spider veins or venous ulcers.”
Alison said: “When Veincentre asked me if I’d get involved in their celebrations I was only too pleased as I’ve always hated my legs but thanks to Veincentre’s treatment I no longer hide them under tights and leggings. It was wonderful to see all the residents at Timperley Nursing Home enjoy wrapping up warm with all the fluffy socks and blankets too.”
