Operations Manager

My entry into the care sector was in 2008 when I joined Highcliffe Nursing Home as administrator. I have since progressed to deputy manager, home manager and operations manager, becoming regional operations manager last year. I love the fact that the staff at our Dorset homes are all team players and support each other. It's important to me that Kingsley is a family business and the family ethos is present in everything we do. Outside of work I enjoy gardening and walking my dogs.

Joanne Jarvis

Deputy Manager

I am an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable registered nurse who thrives on making a difference. With over 15 years of care experience, I started my career as a health care assistant and progressed my way up to senior care assistant before I went on to complete my nursing degree back in 2019. I started working at Highcliffe Nursing in February 2024, I am the home's deputy manager. I love that Highcliffe Nursing Home has its ethos of care built around its residents. I have a passion for helping people achieve their best possible level of health and wellbeing, and I can continue doing so thanks to this positive culture Highcliffe Nursing Home has. In my free time, I do a lot of volunteering in and around the community of Highcliffe, I also enjoy setting up and participating in charity fundraisers for local charities and charities close to my heart, such as the Alzheimer’s Society and MacMillan Cancer Support.

Emma Hendy

Administrator

I have over 15 years’ experience in Administration and Reception, with qualifications also in Childcare and as a Community Support Worker. I started working at Highcliffe Nursing Home back in May 2023 as an Administrator for the home. I love the variation of work and importantly the bond between staff, residents and the residents family’s it has just a lovely friendly relaxing atmosphere making it a pleasure to be part of. I moved to Dorset from North Devon with my partner back in May 2022, Highcliffe is beautiful area with stunning beaches, where I always go on a weekend for a nice long walk, I enjoy eating out and Christchurch has an abundance of restaurants to indulge in.

Elle Fowle

Head of Care

Elle has rich experience in the care sector, starting at the age of 18 when she worked with deaf and blind adults with challenging behaviour. She went on to work in Christchurch as a care co-ordinator and progressed to become a registered manager at the age of 27. She then launched and built up a home care agency for four years before seeking a new challenge. That is when she became a team leader at Highcliffe and then head of care.

Carole Elaine Gilby

Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator

I worked in manufacturing and finance before a complete change of career. I have worked in the Care Sector since 2016, joining Highcliffe Nursing Home in 2022 as a support worker. The opportunity arose to become an activities coordinator so I jumped at the chance and I have never looked back. I feel I have become the best I can be, being able to make a resident learn a new skill and to gain confidence and self-worth knowing that they are loved, safe and an important part of the Highcliffe family. Every day I am able to help our lovely residents have fun with laughter, empathy and care, giving them the confidence to be themselves. I have a wonderful husband called Brian and we have been married for 21 years in May, I have a Romanian street rescue dog called Fudge. I enjoy painting, writing poetry, singing and playing my ukulele.

Maddie Banica

Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator

After moving to UK in 2015 my first job was as a support worker within the community which was a big change for me as back home, in Romania, I had an office job for nine years, for an Italian telecommunication company. The opportunity to work as a lifestyle coach for Highcliffe Nursing Home appeared and I gladly accepted the new challenge. Five years down the line and I am still enjoying my job very much but now as the team lead of a few fantastic people. Working in care changed my personal views on life to the core and it taught me a great deal of things about my purpose. Every day I spend with our lovely residents brings me a sense of achievement as each smile I put on someone’s face feels like a small victory. Outside of work I love exploring new places, travelling as much as I can, and meeting up with friends, I am passionate about Latin dances and dancing in general.

Domini Beniston

Family Liaison Officer

My background is in Admin, I took a break to have a family. Whilst bringing up my family I worked in childcare until my own boys left school. I started working at Highcliffe Nursing Home in 2017 as an Administrator and I am now the Family Liaison Officer. I love the camaraderie between staff at Highcliffe and the fantastic rapport they have with the residents, it’s a lovely homely, family environment. Highcliffe is a beautiful part of Dorset with the beach and the New Forest on our doorstep, there is so much to see and do with lots of social activities, dog walking, live music and dancing, enjoying the beach or eating out.

Simon Lewis

Regional Lifestyle and Hospitality Manager

With 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Simon started as a chef in Weymouth and Portland hotels before progressing to London where he had the honour of cooking for the Royal family. In 2013, he transitioned to the care sector, achieving accolades such as South West Care Chef of the Year and Most Nutritional Menu. He says his goal is to always provide a great plate of food for every individual, regardless of dietary needs, with resident-led menus.

Cyril Fomonyuy

Service Quality Manager

I have worked in the care sector for 22 years, starting as a Registered Nurse in my home country of Cameroon. I joined Kingsley in 2016 as a registered home manager and subsequently progressed to Service Quality Manager. I love the culture at Kingsley which invests in and empowers its staff and supports career progression. Outside work, I am an author and write and do research about leadership and management.
