Meet Our Team
Nursing Home Manager
Diana Galatanu is the Home Manager at Redwalls Nursing Home. Diana is qualified as a registered nurse, and though young has great clinical skills. Diana has started to work in Kingsley in 2016 as newly qualified nurse, since then she has continued expanding her knowledge. She has three years of management experience and she is always looking to improve the knowledge and skills within her role. She has qualified from the Nursing College where she studied in Romania and has since progressed her career from Nursing, to Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager and currently to Home Manager. While she was working as a Clinical Lead she has realised that she has good managerial skills and she decided to invest her time and effort progressing. Even she hasn't got many years of experience in Management she knows her role expectations. She has a keen interest in Management and is currently pursuing a Level 5 qualification in the area. Diana is hard working and ambitious, therefore she grew within the company. Diana’s main objective is to make sure that all of the residents are well looked after, is very important for her to know that her team delivers a person-centred care. One of Diana’s priorities within the home is family relationships. She says that is vital to build family trust, and she likes to keep families informed and involved as much as they can in their loved one’s life. Diana also thinks that every single member of staff is extremely important, therefore she likes to hear everyone’s opinion before she is taking decisions.
I have worked for Kingsley Healthcare as Care Home Administrator for nearly 5 years, Redwalls being the second Kingsley care home I have worked in. I have had various administrative roles over the years but I can truly say that the time I have worked for Kingsley has been the most rewarding. No two days are the same but each day I feel that I am helping make a difference to someone; be it to either a member of staff with a HR query or a relative with a query about finances. My own Mum was in a care home for 5 years so I can certainly empathize with families of loved ones - how they feel when someone moves in to a care home and the worries they may have about care or finances. Redwalls is a special place to work and I love being part of this team who care so much about its residents
Sharon joined Redwalls in 2017 as Head Chef. Prior to Redwalls she was the General manager of restaurants in Florida and Washington DC. During that time, she catered for both President Obama and President Biden. She holds a Level 3 in Food and Hygiene, and the home maintains a 5 Star Hygiene Level. Sharon has experience with creating HCCAP plans and dealing with food allergies. Sharon and the catering team use fresh, locally sourced produce, and believes in providing choices for our residents. Sharon personally gets to know all our residents likes and dislikes and loves to see residents enjoying their mealtime experience. Sharon says” there is nothing better for a chef than to see big smiles at mealtimes. Knowing that all your hard work and effort into preparing a great meal speaks volumes. Sharon also assists the Activities team with theme days and baking sessions with the residents.
